Fleckney
Fleckney is situated between the A6 and the A5199, 9 miles south east of Leicester. Originally an agricultural settlement it developed an industrial base related to the hosiery trade in the 19th Century. The Village now has a small industrial estate and post war housing development has seen the population grow to 4,894 (2011 Census). The Village has a good range of facilities including a primary school, several shops, a post office, two public houses, two doctors' surgeries, a chemist, hairdressers and two takeaways. It is well placed for access to both Leicester and Market Harborough.
There is a good sense of community within the Village which is well served by a wide range of community groups and clubs that provide activities/interests for the whole community.
